8 TIPS to preserve mental health in the elderly

The population of older people worldwide is increasing at a rapid pace. According to the latest data from the WHO (World Health Organization) it is estimated that between 2010 and 2050, the proportion of older people increases from 11 to 22%.

In addition, more than 20% of people over 60 years of age suffer from a neuronal or mental disorder. Dementia and depression are the most common disorders in this age segment.

The brain health and well-being of the elderly can affect any level of the family nucleus, therefore, today we want to share eight useful recommendations to preserve mental health in the elderly.

1-Having an active lifestyle, encouraging the practice of aerobic activities make our brain increase the number of neurons.
